ABOUT ME...

Hi Friends! I am Michele Ripple, and I am a Certified Personal Trainer with 20+ years of experience in the fitness industry and a Certified Nutrition Coach. I began my fitness career in 1998 as an Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Group Exercise Instructor, teaching Spinning, Yoga/Pilates, Bootcamp and Circuit Training. While my husband, John was active-duty Air Force, I performed as Aerobics Contractor at Edwards Air Force Base, CA from 2001-2006. I then earned my Personal Trainer Certification. After years of struggling to get my nutrition act together (you cannot out-train a poor diet), I finally learned to recognize my worth, put myself first and intentionally improve my eating habits. As a result, I lost 30 pounds and gained an abundance of confidence. This personal transformation inspired me to become a Certified Nutrition Coach, so that others will have a partner in wellness.

My husband, John and I have been married for over 25 years (mostly because I'm a saint - just kidding!). We have four adult children and beautiful grandbabies.

I am an overcomer — Diagnosed with MS in 2009, fitness became a necessity for living well. Having been knocked down, I had to find a way to get back up. I was forced to reevaluate my goals and in doing so, I realized that my priorities were upside down. I was so focused on results, but not paying much attention to the process. I now understand that the walk means consistently putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. That is generally easier said, than done. Yet, I must choose to live each day without limits. This means rising above my excuses (there are often many) and putting forth the effort to try, even when I don't feel like it. I recognize that perfection is an illusion, and I have learned to accept my shortcomings as opportunities to practice better ways to manage everyday habits.

As a trainer and coach, I appreciate that we are all individual — I see each client for who they are and what they need. I understand that we are each on our own fitness and nutrition course, so the walk often looks different from one person to the next.  I will help you achieve your fitness goals by designing programs that will develop flexibility, coordination and skill. I will weigh the risk to benefit ratio for every exercise to ensure that you use proper form to prevent injury and help make fitness, well...FUN! I will assist you in attaining your nutrition goals by providing you with a real-life plan for eating well. I will educate, validate, support, and celebrate you in all aspects of wellness. I will offer you structure, motivation, and accountability. I will walk beside you, so you never have to go it alone. Let this be the last time you start over!
